Review: Under Armour Blur Carbon III

The Under Armour Blur Carbon III is the new football/soccer boots ready for the 2013/14 season.

The Verdict

Design - 7.5/10
Comfort - 6/10
Performance - 5/10
Value - 6/10

Final Verdict

6.5/10

I'm going to be honest, I was disappointed with the new Under Armour football/soccer boots. When you consider that they are relatively new to a market that is dominated by two, arguably three, huge brands, the fact that they’ve even considered releasing a boot which breaks the mold of the average football boot is commendable. Yes, the execution isn’t exactly there as of yet and the boot has its flaws, most notably the tongue, and the composition of the upper, but at the same time it has some positives — the uniquely designed soleplate being the chief one, and the great extras. I wouldn’t recommend this boot outright as there are definitely better offerings on the market for a similar, or even cheaper, price. That being said, Under Armour are a brand to watch and I’m convinced that even though this might not be a great boot, its first brilliant one is not far off.
